Watercolor "Peach Blossom" Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

The advent of Chinese New Year lead me to reread symbols and traditions of the celebration.  Peach blossoms are symbols of long life and immortality, something we wonder about.  2019 is Year of the Pig; Kung Hee Fat Choy! This 11x15 image would soothe any mind.
Unmatted, unframed $300.   Contact me: Arlene G. Wooarlenesart@gmail.com

Watercolor "Remover of Obstacles" Hawaii artist Arlene G. Woo

By accident, I found myself Googling Ganesha and found that I could relate to him right now.  He is known as the "Remover of Obstacles" and I can use that now.  Hindu color symbolism indicates that blue conquers evil, saffron is for warriors, and yellow is for peace and happiness; thus, my choice of colors.  Hopefully, he can help you, too.  contact: arlenesart@gmail.com

New Day, Acrylic by Arlene G. Woo, Hawaii Artist

This is an acrylic on 18"x18" gallery wrapped canvas.  As usual, I enjoy painting with acrylics because I can be much bolder with my strokes.  I also like to rub off and on to create texture and layers.  The touch of red is paper.  My daughter named this image right off the bat.  Maybe a new day is something we'd all like.  This image is currently on display in Louis Pohl Gallery but it is available for purchase.  Contact me for shipping costs:  Arlene G. Woo   SOLD
